Just about "a dip" every now and then!

There's something about old diaries that I always find fascinating. Like coming back to this blog half an hour ago and picking up threads from my past. There are two things that happened: I chuckled at what I saw of myself (I am almost patting myself for some of the sentences and phrases that I've written) and I was amused at how I'm almost coming back to an old friend - there's much to share, there's even more to discover.

To put the last three years in a nutshell...
  • The last time I worked so hard was for my Science Board Exam - a mighty 14 years ago (for the record, to prove to myself that I wasn't "settling down" for Commerce vis-a-vis Sciences but choosing to do so because I chose to! Gosh - even as I write that, I get those familiar goosebumps that only deja vu of my adolescent days that stand testimony to!!!) I've relished the toil and graft to the hilt and was almost caught yelling, "I've found my calling"!
  • I've got back to books. Patches of holidays (One of the perks of my job - 4 months of annual vacation. :D )have seen me packing as many books as clothes, thanks to our delightful school library.
  • I quit my job again, and happily so, (again !!!) - because I was to be soon blessed with a baby. I've survived the first year as much as I've discovered the cliched 'joys of motherhood' in the roller coaster. More importantly, I've unraveled myself
  • I also got back to work this year, grinning from ear to ear on most days.
  • I've traveled like never before in the last three years, fine-tuned my own understanding of what I really enjoy in travel. I've got back to books in the last few months - yes, some serious studying and note-making coming up in the next two years!
  • For the first time in my life, I feel rooted to a place because I'm now so attached to all the wonderful people that make my life here!
  • From "Me? Running?Bah!" to "10k! Tomorrow! Yay!", I've come a long way!

Hmmm... I feel like prefixing each of the above with "more on that later!". Hmmm... I'm coming back to take a dip in ink as often as I can. Hello, Diary!!!
